Prevention ABCs Genie
Supporting High Quality Implementation of Prevention Programs

Participants

We wish to recruit a minimum of 200 teachers delivering NREPP programs to participate in this project along with their students. Teachers may include classroom teachers who normally take on the task of teaching a prevention program as well as outside specialists who visit classrooms as part of their regularly assigned duties. Prior training and experience with the program they are teaching is desired but not required.

Each teacher will list all of the classes to which they expect to teach their program. We will randomly select one class from among these which teachers will involve as a student sample in the project. Students will be middle or high school students, in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. We expect the average class size to be 25 students, and that a total of 5,000 students will participate by completing surveys before and after each teaching cycle.
